The International Trade Development Centre was started in Montreal, Canada in 1994. Our primary mission is to provide support to small businesses worldwide. The late 1980’s and early 1990’s saw the emergence of global retail companies such as Walmart, Price Club etc… These companies work in close collaboration with the factories and sell al low prices. As a result, most small family run retail outlets were driven out of business and the retail market today is dominated by a few large companies.
Same problem is being faced by small factories, especially in developing countries. The large manufacturers sell in BULK and have driven out the smaller companied. Our mission is to help small industries, both manufacturers and retailers, in succeed in international trade, as long as they can provide quality products at LOW prices. We help these companies to compete !!!
ITDC provides the opportunity for small retail companies to buy directly from the factory, in small quantities, and sell at lower prices than the big companies. Smaller Retailers have lower overheads and are able to compete if they can buy goods at low prices. We also provide excellent opportunity for small home-based businesses to get started in Imports.
